A-Level and BTEC results:

We're here for you

We were delighted to hear Ofqual’s decision that A-Level and GCSE students will be awarded grades on the basis of what their teachers submitted.

A-Level Students:

A-Level students will get the higher grade from either the teacher assessed grade or the calculated grade previously issued. If the calculated grade that you received on results day was higher than your centre assessment grade, your calculated grade will stand. No student will receive a lower grade than they already have. You will be be re-issued with your A-Level grades within the next two days.  You will get certificates from the award body as normal with your final grade.

BTEC Students:

Because BTECs were not subject to the same statistical moderation as A-Levels were, most centre assessed grades were accepted and awarded. For a small number of grades that were adjusted, they will be reviewed on an individual basis through the appeals process.

If you feel that your centre-assessed grade was determined/assigned in an unfair manner, you may formally appeal in writing, outlining the reason why along with any evidence to support this, within 10 working days to quality@educationpartnershipne.ac.uk.   Should you wish to, you can consult or seek help from a Personal Development Tutor, student counsellor or other staff member.
