Wellbeing for Life is a commissioned service in County Durham based on the principle of Your Wellbeing, your way; a client led service providing health and mental wellbeing support and guidance using a holistic approach, empowering people aged 16+ to maintain healthier lifestyles.

Desired qualifications

Applicants must have – A-C/4-9 Grades in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English

Future prospects

Candidates who successfully complete the Apprenticeship will be in a prime position to apply for a higher grade role of Wellbeing Practitioner or Community Link Worker within the service due to the experience they will have gained. They will gain valuable experience to secure employment in the rapidly expanding wellbeing sector.

Things to consider

- Working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm but there will be some evening and weekend shifts to deliver activities when it is best for the clients
- Our clients come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including a range of disabilities and abilities
- There will be a mix of office based work and activity led work in the community

Important Other Information

- Able to pass an enhanced DBS check
- Ability to travel independently
- Willingness to study for additional qualifications
Each of the five apprentices will be aligned to one of the geographical hubs – these include Derwentside, East Durham, North Durham, South West Durham, and Durham Dales.
